Period Switch Collection
Bromleighs’ Period Switches are carefully reproduced from the original light switch designs, circa 1900, in Caldicot, South Wales, UK, part of our extensive British socket and switches range. Our hand-spun domes come in many different finishes, making this the most comprehensive period-style range on the market. Designed to meet all current safety standards, they are easy to fit to modern wiring, whilst maintaining the authentic features so appreciated by their users.
When it is necessary to ensure fixtures and fitting are in keeping with their surroundings, these light switches really come in to their own. Antique, vintage and retro settings all suit these designs perfectly. Bell pushes are also available to replicate the servants’ bells often found in historical country homes.
We suggest selecting accessories from our hardwood collection in matching oak to complement the Period Switches. If desired, hardwood pull switches and pendants will complete the finishing touches.
The switches are available on their own or mounted on oak. When flush mounting single, double and triple switches, these all mount to a single wall box. If preferred a double box (2MB.25) may be used for the double switch and a triple box (3MB.35) can be used for the triple switch. Quadruple and 6 gang switches mount to double or 4 gang (4MB.40) boxes.
